Exceptionally hardy, Crassula 'Jade Necklace’ features disk-like, fleshy leaves tightly stacked in opposing pairs up the length of the stem – resembling, as their name would suggest, a string of jade-colored beads! In brighter conditions, the leaves will flush a speckled, rosy hue along the margins, creating an eye-catching display. With a trailing growth habit, the long stems will begin to drape as they reach their full length, making this variety a great ‘spiller’ component in any succulent arrangement.

While this South African variety is very drought tolerant, it does require protection from harsh afternoon sunlight, lest its leaves begin to burn. Bright morning or filtered sunlight will do the trick, instead. Porous soil with adequate drainage is a must, as is thorough but infrequent watering. While this variety can tolerate cooler temperatures, it must be protected from frost and cannot be left to sit in cold, wet soil during the winter months.

Throughout the growing season, each stem will be capped in a cluster of white, star-shaped flowers.
